Q: DOES HIV CAUSE AIDS?
A: What is called "HIV" has NEVER been proven to cause AIDS or any other serious illness associated with AIDS.
It's been more than 30 years since April 23, 1984, when the claim was first made that HIV causes AIDS, and yet, today, still there is no scientific proof that has been published that leads to that conclusion.
This excerpt from the documentary film "House of Mirrors" starts off with Kary Mullis, the Nobel Prize winning scientist who invented the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test, also called a "viral load" test. This procedure was developed for manufacturing biochemicals, not for diagnosing infections or measuring the "load" of infectious particles. The PCR test is used inappropriately to allegedly measure "viral load." When used inappropriately to allegedly measure the "viral load" of HIV, there is the additional problem that it is being used to measure a "load" of a virus that has not been proven to cause any disease or even to exist. If the test is not measuring viral load, what is it measuring? The number said to be a person's viral load is really the load of nucleic acids that are produced in the lab after multiple cycles of copying -- not the amount originally present in blood. Moreover, these nucleic acids from your blood are assumed to be part of HIV, but they have not been proven to be from HIV or any other virus, nor shown to be infective. Regarding the question, "Does HIV cause AIDS?" Dr. Mullis says "No," and he explains why: The assertion that HIV causes AIDS simply is not backed up by any published scientific study leading to that conclusion.
